VIDALIA —Vidalia resident and former Louisiana State Trooper Jay Sandifer has been arrested again on sex charges.

According to reports from the Western Louisiana branch of the Department of Justice, Sandifer was charged on Sept. 27 with one count of possession of child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography and one count accessing child pornography with intent to view.

There will be a telephone conference with the judge on Oct. 28 to discuss more on the case.

Sandifer was charged in May with three counts indecent behavior with a juvenile and in June with another count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and four counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile by the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office.

In July, Sandifer was charged by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office for charges of molestation of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and sexual battery.

At the time of the arrest in July, Sandifer also had bench warrants for his arrest from Franklin Parish for two counts of molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
