JONESVILLE — Services for Mary Elaine Germany, 28, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberty Worship Center with the Rev. Lester Johnson, Peter Saucier and the Rev. Joe Cook officiating.
Burial will follow at McFarland Gurie Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Miss Germany was born Jan. 4, 1982, in Natchez, the daughter of James F. Germany and Leah Ann Parker Watson.
Mary graduated from Monterey High School. She played basketball and softball. She loved outdoor sports, hunting and fishing.
Mary attended Louisiana Tech and graduated from Massage Therapy School.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alvin G. “Bull” Parker; paternal grandparents, Clinton Germany and Mary Etta Germany; one aunt, Maude Evans; and special friend, Chloe Swingley Cross.
Survivors include her father and his wife, Karen, of Aimwell, La.; her mother and her husband, Buddy, of Monterey; one brother, James Frank Germany Jr. and wife, Susan, of Monterey; one sister, Shana Dawson of Vacaville, Calif.; grandmother, Joyce Parker of Jonesville; special second mother, Gwen Tarpley and husband, Dennis, of Jonesville; adopted sister, Hailee Hodges of Jonesville; special niece, Gracie Marie Germany of Monterey; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Crawford, Jeremy Bryan, Tom Tiffee, Jeremy Cassels, Patrick Cassels, Ben Germany and John Germany.
Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Germany, cousins and nephews, and the class of 2000 of Monterey High School.
