LORMAN — Services for Aaron Turner, 61, of Montgomery, Ala., who died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rosehill Christian Church with the Rev. Walter Chambers officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner was born July 4, 1949, in Jefferson County, the son of John Turner Sr. and Elizabeth Duengain Turner.

He was a member of Clinton Chapel and served on the Steward Board and Trustee Board. He was also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three sisters, Martha Lee Dyer, Johnnie Ruth Stewart and husband, John, all of Cleveland, and Delores Turner of Lorman; five brothers, John Turner Jr., Eddie Charles Turner and wife, Kathy, all of Lorman, Jonathan Turner and wife, Claudette, Melvin Turner and wife, Ruby, all of Fayette, and Earl Lee Turner of Grand Prairie, Texas; two uncles, Wilson Walton and wife, Ulla, and James Walton, all of Jackson; five aunts, Emma J. Singletary, Carrie M. Singletary and Annie Laura Stroman and husband, Roosevelt, all of Brooklyn, N.W., Bessie Chatman of Baton Rouge, and Burnell Monroe of Port Gibson; 18 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and a number of relatives and friends.
