Join us for dinner, annual meeting

Dear friends of Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District: You are cordially invited to attend the 20th annual meeting of the Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting will be at Co-Lin’s Natchez Campus in the Nelson Multi-Purpose Room.

Anyone interested in the conservation of our soil, water and other related resources is invited to join us on this occasion; and, we promise it will be both entertaining and informative.

Russ Walsh, a resident of Amite County, and a private lands biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will talk about the importance of a prescribed burn and how to do one.

Our friend and neighbor Clyde Ray Webber, clerk of court in Concordia Parish will entertain us after dinner with some of his stories.

The menu, prepared by Valley food service at Co-Lin, will feature roast beef aujus, whipped potatoes/gravy, garden salad, roll and apple or peach cobbler at a cost of $7 per person, in advance, or $10 at the door.
