BLANCO, Texas — Shelba Riedel, 71, of Blanco, Texas, formerly of Natchez, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 in Abileen, Texas.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco and will be announced at a later date.

Ms. Riedel was born Oct. 23, 1939, the daughter of Cecil and Audrey Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Fred Smith.

Survivors include the father of her children, Eugene H. “Junior” Collins; one son, Eugene Collins of Blanco; one daughter, Serena Vanderslice of Natchez; three special grandsons, Jason Gandy of Baton Rouge, Eric Collins and Tanner Collins, both of Blanco; one special granddaughter, Hannah Collins of Vicksburg; two brothers, Nicky Smith and wife, Carol, of Madina, Texas and Rickey Sykes and his wife of Brookhaven; two sisters, Sue Guff of Alabama and Pam Sykes of Brookhaven; one aunt, Pauline Smith of Natchez; and special sister-in-law, Edna Collins of Natchez.
