NATCHEZ — Services for Sam Oliver Cain Jr., 62, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Fort and Rev. Mike Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, at the church.

Mr. Cain was born March 26, 1948, in Bentonia, the son of Sam Oliver Cain Sr. and Mary Nellie Cochran Cain.

He was a shift manager for the Isle of Capri for many years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Gwendolyn Cain; one sister Sarah VanTuinen and one brother, Robert Cain.

Survivors include his wife, Diann Cain; three daughters, Tracey Gillespie and husband Eddie, Vickie Fort and husband Alan, all of Vidalia, and Nancy Slover of Natchez; five brothers, Victor Cain of Vicksburg, James Cain and wife Danna of Georgetown, Texas, Ralph Cain and wife Sandy of Ranger, Texas, Louis Cain and wife Jean of Bentonia and William Foster of Vicksburg; one sister, Mary Martin and husband Tony of Florida; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; mother- and father-in-law, Harold and Bennie West of Vicksburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy McCullar, Alan Fort, Eddie Gillespie, John Gillespie, T.J. Isbell, Scott Slover, Harley Mercer, Robert McNeely and Tony Scudiero.
