FAYETTE — Services for Ruby Lee Turner-Clark, 78, of Fayette, who died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Clark was born Dec. 14, 1931, in Fayette, the daughter of Warren Turner Sr. and Rena West Turner. She was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board. She was also tribe leader of Zebulun Founder of the Easter program and was past Most Ancient Matron of the Heriones of Jericho Court No. 202.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Byrd Clark; two sons, James Edward Clark and Elvis Percy Clark; one daughter, Darlene Clark-Shelvy; one granddaughter, Angela Clark; one grandson, Keldrick Nichols; three brothers, Moses Turner, Warren Turner Jr. and Jerry Turner; one sister-in-law, Helen Turner; and Howard and Mary Lou Nichols, who raised her.

Survivors include five sons, Arthur Clark, Howard Clark and wife, Sarah, Larry Clark and wife, Antonia, Charlie Clark Jr. and wife, Keiandra, all of Fayette, and Charlie Clark Sr. and wife, Julia, of Natchez; two special sons, Jimmy James and wife, Carolyn, and James Oliver and wife, Shirley, all of Fayette; five daughters, Rena Shelvy, Twanna Gibson and husband, Chavez Sr., and Tena Anderson and husband, Johnny, all of Fayette, Cynthia Reed and husband, Spencer, and Kimeyarus Holmes and husband, Derrick, all of Natchez; one goddaughter, Deidre Wyatt Lovett and husband, Abdual, of Olive Branch; eight brothers, Will T. Turner Sr. and wife, Florence, Robert Turner and wife, Wyllie Jean, and the Rev. Percy Turner and wife, Hilda, all of Fayette, Earnest Turner and wife, Irene, of Dallas, William Turner, Aaron Turner and wife, Linda, James Turner and wife, Leotyne, and Nathan Turner and wife, Jackie, all of New Orleans; three sisters, Rose Turner, Louetta Jackson and husband, Stonewall, and Shirley Oliver and husband, James, all of Fayette; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Lula Mae Moore, Ethel Fountain and Pearlie Cameron, all of Fayette.
