NEW ORLEANS — Services for Willie Earl “Easy” Washington, 67, who died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at his residence, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Stewman officiating.
Burial will be at New Beginning Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home in New Orleans.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Washington was born in Kingston, the son of Moses Reed and Beatrice Washington. He was a cement finisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Y. Washington; one son, David E. Washington, both of Natchez; three grandchildren, Keisha Washington and companion, Darrell, of New Orleans, Ieisha W. Williams and husband, Kevin, of Memphis, Tenn., and Tiffany Washington of Natchez; seven sisters, Ornsby L. Young and Julia Washington Evans and husband, Charles, all of Natchez, Marilyn Washington and Margie Williams and husband, Vernell, all of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Robinson and husband, Charlie, of Jonesboro, Ga., Josephine Reed of Missouri City, Texas and André Denise Williams and husband, Arthur of Jefferson, La.; four brothers, Charles Chatman Sr. of Sherman, Texas, Moses Washington and Clyde Reed, both of Racine, Wis., and Walter Reed of Natchez; four aunts, Zeola Reed and Lavator Green, both of Natchez, Annie B. Washington of Bay City, Texas and Blanche Reed of Weatherford, Texas; one uncle, Clifton Reed of Racine; lifetime in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. Mingo; longtime friend and companion, Virginia Lewis; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family, friends, officers and members of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez, New Hope Baptist Church in New Orleans, New Home F.W.C., Gallo Mechanics, Wallace Drennan, Boh Bros., Cement Plasterers’ Local Union No. 567, Natchez Police Department and Walmart No. 1106 are invited to attend the service.
