VIDALIA — Services for Jessie Mae Alexander, 59, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the Grace Home in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Kejuane Bates officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Alexander was born March 13, 1951, in Natchez, the daughter of Percy Ellis and Katherine Thompson Calvin.
Survivors include her husband, Major Alexander; three sons, Lavan Thompson and wife, Angela, of Natchez, Major Alexander Jr. of Vidalia and Dywane Alexander and wife, Shay, of Atlanta; three daughters, Casandra Thompson and Latricia Taylor and husband, Michael, all of Natchez, and Angela Foster and husband, Alex, of Vidalia; her father of Lawton, Okla.; her mother of Natchez; five brothers, Lonnie Calvin of Pascagoula, Homer Lee Ellis of Jackson, Monroe Calvin and wife, Cheryl, of Garland, Texas, Donald R. Calvin and Terry Calvin, both of Natchez; six sisters, Patricia Johnson, Deloris Calvin, Antionnette Calvin and Tracey Calvin, all of Natchez, Cherry Buccanon and husband, Edward, and Angie Ellis, all of Lawton; one goddaughter, Sekina Hawkins of Detroit; 15 grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
