LORMAN — Services for McCarthy Watts, 87, of Lorman, who died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Jefferson County Nursing Home in Fayette, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Walter Chambers officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Watts was born Sept. 13, 1923, the son of Calvin Watts and Mamie Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alfred Carter Sr. and L.C. Williams; and two sisters, Leola Walls and Carzenia O’Quinn.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Watts; four sons, Tyree Watts of Chicago, Tommie Williams and Cedric Watts, both of Lorman and McArthur Watts of Vicksburg; four daughters, Marilyn Grandberry, Valentina Bell and Dr. Bertha Watts, all of Lorman, and Tewanda Watts of Atlanta; one stepdaughter, Susie A. Coleman of Lorman; two sisters-in-law, Zula Carter of Akron, Ohio and Dorothy May of Monticello; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
