FERRIDAY — Services for Donald Gregory White, 61, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday, with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.

Burial will follow at the White Family Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.

Mr. White was born July 30, 1949, the son of Douglas Eugene White and Avis Corine White.

He was a resident of Ferriday and employed by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Tommy White, Fred White, W.C. White and Kenneth White; one sister, Sammy Wilson, one step-son, George “Da Da” Scott Jr.; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Dryg.

Survivors include his wife, Candy Ann White; two sons, Donald Gregory White III of Winnsboro and Kenneth James White and wife Dana of Monroe, La.; six daughters, Michele Cupstid and husband Donnie of Ferriday, Ginger Vaughn and husband Terry, Lynn White, all of Monterey, Crissie Turner and husband Dustin of Vidalia, Angela McClung and husband Bo of Houston, Texas, and Joan Marie White of Winnsboro; one sister, Jane Landsiedel and husband Harry of Baton Rouge; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Colby Ton, Donnie Cupstid, Michael Cupstid, Terry Vaughn, Dustin Turner and Jonathan Olds.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Erby Seals and WL Adams.
