VIDALIA — Services for Willie Eugene “Dur-Bee” Emery, 71, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Dixon officiating.

Burial will follow at Whitehall Cemetery in Vidalia under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Emery was born Nov. 28, 1939, in Vidalia, the son of Aristead and Adeline Emery. He was retired from the Concordia Parish School Board and Concordia Bank. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna Turner Emery; and four siblings, Aristead Emery Jr., Charles Emery, Shirley Dixon and Helen Felton.

Survivors include three sons, Walter Emery and Stevie Trust, both of Vidalia, and Willie “Chris” Emery Jr. and wife, Shirley, of Natchez; five daughters, Darlene Beamer and husband, Kenneth, Sanquanett Allen and husband, T.C., all of Natchez, Karen Whitley and husband, Alvin, of Auburn Hills, Mich., Diana Singleton and husband, Gary, and Pansie Gaines and husband, Tyrone, all of Houston, Texas; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one aunt, Bertha Washington of Vidalia.
