WOODVILLE — Funeral Mass for Katherine D. Plitt, 97, of Woodville, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Field Memorial Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Smith officiating.

Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Mrs. Plitt was born May 17, 1913, in Woodville, the daughter of Sam D’Aquila and Adeline Escher D’Aquila. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Plitt Sr.; and four brothers, Sylvester D’Aquila, Milton D’Aquila, Carl D’Aquila and Joseph D’Aquila.

Survivors include two sons, Milton Plitt and Earl “Butch” Plitt Jr.; one daughter, Margo P. Ferguson; eight grandchildren, Marjorie Best, George Ferguson Jr., Wallace Ferguson, Lucy Ferguson, Mandy Plitt, Adam Plitt, Matt Plitt and Lauren Campbell; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alta Stutzman and Maria Gonda.
