NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Agnes Cox Curry, 95, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at the Magnolia House, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Southerland and the Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Curry was born Sept. 2, 1915, in Canton, the daughter of Olen King and Edna Pennington King. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Natchez and a former member of New Zion Baptist Church in Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Troy A. Cox and Charles A. Curry; one infant son, Willie Delton Cox; one son, Dr. Troy J. Cox; and one grandson, Troy J. Cox Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Cox and his wife Pat, and Bobby Cox, all of Natchez; six grandchildren, Sandi Geoghegan, Karen Brinneman, Lesa McCluer, Cliff Cox, Barbara Bradley and Lee Staten; nine great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Carolyn Cates.
