RED LICK — Graveside services for Bertrand Scott Brown, 67, of Red Lick, who died Dec. 25, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beech Hill Cemetery in Red Lick with the Rev. Jim Fallon officiating and Brother James Case closing with prayer under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.

Brown was born March 6, 1943, in Mercy Hospital in Vicksburg, the son of Bertrand Thresham Brown and Margaret Scott Brown. He was a graduate of Jefferson County High School. Brown worked as a plant worker at Allied Chemicals until he became disabled. He loved his family and pets, enjoyed gardening, hunting and country living.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Stanley Smith.

Survivors include daughter, June Brown of Natchez; son, Bert Brown and wife Sandra of Kentwood, La.; sister, Linda Smith of Florence; brother Gary Brown of Ridgeland; nephew Joseph Brown of Ridgeland; granddaughter Amber Brown; grandson Scott Brown of Kentwood; and a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.
