Even winter can’t cool off good news

Winter has finally arrived, it seems, and these cold temperatures might be here to stay for a while.
But even gloomy winter days can’t spoil the fun in the Miss-Lou. Let’s review a few great things from last week.
– By the end of this school year, all classrooms in the Natchez-Adams School District should have a Promethean board — an interactive white board used for class instruction. The board keeps the attention of children raised in a technology-based age. Keeping up with changes in our children is key to seeing changes in our schools.
– Aaron Davis has been through much since the beginning of his senior year, but he’s learned a lot too. Davis, recovering from a tragic accident, is well on his way to a bright future. Good luck Aaron!
– At least 36 new jobs are coming to the area. A new furniture store in Natchez will hire eight, and Vidalia Apparel will hire 28. Every job counts, we are happy to have these community partners.
– Students from Vanderbilt University were in town last week lending a hand in a variety of places. Thanks to the students for their help. Come back anytime.
– A group of locals traveled to Jackson for Natchez Day at the Mississippi Museum of Art. It’s great for our city to receive this recognition, and great that local residents recognize its importance.
Temperatures may not warm up this week, but we know the good news won’t cool off.
