Florida Webb

WATERPROOF – Services for Florida Webb, 71, of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Pinhook Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Webb was born April 19, 1939, in Waterproof, the daughter of Charlie and Janie Tinson Webb. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Webb; three brothers, Jerry Webb, Charlie Webb and Jesse Webb; one sister, Janie Smith; and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Dimple Webb of Vidalia and Floyd Lambert of Ferriday; seven brothers, David Webb, Willie Webb, Leslie Webb, all of Waterproof, Terry Webb of Monroe, La., Aaron Webb, Shawn Webb and Willie Shields, all of New Orleans; four sisters, Carrie Louise Webb and Clara Knapper, both of New Orleans, Rebecca McCraney and Martha Washington, both of Waterproof; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
