HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Memorial services for Seawillow Kennedy, 85, of Huntsville, Texas, who died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Huntsville, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville.

Mrs. Kennedy was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Oil City, La., the daughter of John Frank Carroll and Mattie Alma Anderson Carroll.

Seawillow moved to Huntsville in 2004, to be near family after spending most of her life in Natchez. She was a retired nurse who worked most of her life at Natchez Regional Medical Center. She loved being a nurse and working in labor and delivery.

She was preceded in death by one son, John A. “Kenny” Kennedy Jr.; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Kiss and husband, Joe, and Tracy Perry; four grandchildren, Kristen Hoover and husband, Brad, Joshua Kiss, Jason Exelby and Danielle Lively and husband, Robert; 10 great-grandchildren; twin brother, J.A. “Buddy” Carroll and wife, Beverly; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Hust and Nancy, NP, all of the nursing staff at Ella Smither, Dr. David Knuth and all the special caregivers from Home Health Care of Huntsville and Affordable Home Care for the extra attention and excellent care given to our loved one and our family members.
