NATCHEZ — Services for Lillie Mae Carter Moak, 85, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curt Wilson officiating.

Burial will follow at Cranfield Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moak was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Benjamin F. Carter and Mary Ethel Enlow Carter. She was a 1943 graduate of Beech Stand High School. She was employed by Sears in Natchez for a number of years.

Lillie Mae was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved flowers and gardening. She was a charter member of Cranfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Moak loved her church family and attended church as long as she was able.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Benford Moak; five brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include two children, Linda Moak Nunnery and Thomas Michael “Tommy” Moak, both of Natchez; three grandchildren, Heather Norris and husband, Jackie, Chris Nunnery and Rachel Grantham and husband, Melvin, all of Natchez; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Norris, Lindsey Norris and Kimberly Grantham, all of Natchez; one sister, Nina Carter Wilson of Natchez; and two sisters-in-law, Madeline Carter of Meadville and Pearl Carter of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
