NATCHEZ — Services for James “Lil Man” Woods Sr., 93, of Church Hill, who died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Linwood Baptist Church with the Red. D.W. Howard officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Woods was born Aug. 16, 1917, the son of Sam Woods and Isabel Woods. He was a Baptist and he was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Woods, and two sons, Felmon Woods and Jerry Bean Woods.

Survivors include seven chilldren, Claudia Woods, Arthur Wayne Woods and wife, Constance, Claude Woods and wife, Patricia, and Kentrell Woods, all of Fayette, Ercelia W. Adams and James Woods and wife, Birdia, all of Chicago, and George Woods and wife, Deborah, of Hazelcrest, Ill.; special grandson, Christopher Payne; one brother, Willie Woods and wife, Margaret, of Jackson; one daughter-in-law, Margaret Woods of Cannonsburg; one niece, Lillian Noble and husband, Richard; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
