James and Virginia Anderson of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharonda Yvette Anderson to Adonis Casals Johnson, son of Frederick and Diane Johnson of Monroe, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and the University of Louisiana-Monroe. She is employed by St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.

She is the granddaughter of Surnetta Cage of Vidalia and the late Eddie Cage, the late Dorothy Mae Anderson and the late Wilson Sanders of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Ouachita High School and attended the University of Louisiana-Monroe. He is employed by CHASE and the U.S. Air Force.

He is the grandson of Estella Mae Kyles of Monroe and the late Mack Kyles and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bernard Johnson.

The wedding will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Concordia Parish Community Center in Ferriday.
