BILOXI — Services for Virginia D. Gill, 79, formerly of Biloxi and Diamondhead, who died Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Nashville, Tenn., will be at 10:15 a.m. Friday at Riemann Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Biloxi under the direction of Riemann Family Funeral Home in Biloxi.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:15 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the funeral home.
A memorial service in Nashville will be announced at a later date.
Mrs. Gill had been a resident of Nashville since 2005, where she was an active member of The Vultee Church of Christ. She did volunteer work for Churches of Christ Disaster Relief in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by he husband, Willis R. Gill; her parents, George O. Sr. and Ethel Perry; two brothers, Roy Perry and Ernest Perry; and two sisters, Betty Frum and Eloise Estepp.
Survivors include four children, Deborah Lynn Gill of Smyrna, Tenn., Perry A. Gill and wife, Belinda, of Waveland, Michael L. Gill and wife, Lori, of Asheville, N.C., and Carol S. Skipper of Natchez; eight grandchildren, Tyler Gill and wife, Marie, and Andy Gill, all of Waveland, Matthew Martin and wife, Danielle, and Dustin R. Liberto, all of Natchez, Jenny Yakey and husband, Michael, of Vidalia, Alissa Pointer and husband, Robert, of Raleigh, N.C., Kristi Booker and husband, Jeremy, of Boone, N.C., and Joseph Gill of Asheville; seven great-grandchildren, Mariah Gill, Michael Gill, Matthew Gill, Natalie Yakey, Madalyn Yakey, Braxton Martin and Dane Martin; one sister, Carol S. Coverdale and husband, David, of Mount Sterling, Ohio; and two brothers, Dennis W. Perry and wife, Carolyn, of Thompson, Ga., and George O. Perry Jr. and wife, Sue, of Catlettsburg, Ky.
The family requests donations be made to disaster relief in lieu of flowers.
