NATCHEZ — Services for Hattie Rose King Marshall, 91, of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 28, 2011, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. James P. Fellon, S.S.J., officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Marshall was born July 10, 1919, in Natchez, the daughter of Annie Laura Scott and Walter J. King Sr. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mrs. Marshall was employed by AJFC Community Action Agency, Inc., Head Start Program for more than 50 years. She was retired.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed social events, singing, music, family and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Walter J. King Jr., James Clarence King Sr. and Charles B. King Sr.; and one daughter, Anne Marie Earnest.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Lee Marshall and wife, Elise, of Natchez, and Charles Henry Marshall of Pittsburg, Calif.; one daughter, Vernadine Bradford of Danville, Calif.; one sister, Rosetta K. DeBerry and husband, Billy, of Seaside, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Isabelle M. King of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jessie King of San Antonio, Texas; a very special cousin, Sister Margaret May King of the Holy Family Order; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and a number of friends and relatives.
Pallbearers will be Knights of St. Peter Claver-Court No. 9.
