NATCHEZ — Services for Margaret “Peggy” Williams, 53, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 23, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. today at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Wright Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Smithland Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Ms. Williams was born Aug. 20, 1957, in Natchez, the daughter of Alberta Williams Loyd and Bennie Williams. She was a 1976 graduate of North Natchez High School and was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Cynthia Ware.

Survivors include one daughter, Allison Williams; five sisters, Mary Elaine Bell, Sandra Loyd, Nora Rogers and Debra Williams, all of Natchez, and Margie Johnson of California; four brothers, Gregory Williams of Dallas, Bennie Williams Jr., Kenneth “Nick” Williams and Sandy Loyd, all of Natchez; four aunts, Roslyn Carter, Gwen Robinson, Francine Bonnee and Necole Johnson, all of Natchez; six uncles, Archie Johnson, Harry Lee Gaylor, Ronnie Robinson, Charles Johnson, Freddie Johnson and Ronnie Johnson, all of Natchez; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Ware of Natchez; two godchildren, K’Metric Johnson and Ava Pinder, both of Natchez; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
