Charles Riley, who lives at 573 West Stiers Lane, said his roommate, Barbara Bindon, first noticed the fire as she was standing on the porch.

When Bindon told him about the fire, Riley said, he put it out with a water hose.

The vehicle is registered under the name Carl Evans, according to the report.

Bindon said she was “eating noodles” while she was standing on the porch and noticed a car down the road “just sitting there,” the report states.

Bindon said she heard a door slam, and then the car drove off.

Soon thereafter, Bindon said, she came back out onto the porch and noticed that the truck was on fire, according to the report.

A police officer who responded to the call said it appeared that an outside source started the fire — it did not come from the truck itself.

“(The officer) appeared to believe there was foul play and advised that a fire marshal would be out (after Wednesday) to check it out,” the report states.

The total damages remain unknown, according to the report.
