MONTEREY — Services for Frances Ruth Burley, 80, of Vidalia, who died Friday, June 17, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Monterey Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Crum officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Burley was born July 3, 1930, in Arcadia, La., the daughter of Elton and Vallie Barnette

She was secretary for Production Credit Association and the Concordia Parish Clerk of Court office. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Mrs. Burley was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Burley; her parents; one son, Bill Burley; and two sisters, Helen Gautreaux and Betty Minchew.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Burley of Houston and Phillip Burley of Farmerville, La.; six grandchildren, Mitchell Currie, Michael Currie, Chelsey Burley, Spencer Burley, Brittany Burley and Baily Burley; one great-grandchild, Owen Currie; daughter-in-law, Amanda Smith; and lifelong friend, Ann Tisdale.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Burley, Mitchell Currie, Michael Currie, Jason Tiffee, Richard Young, Jacob Smith, Barry Maxwell and Danny Tisdale.
