FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Vern Edward “Fuzzy” Crofford, 79, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in Ferriday, will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Crofford was born July 10, 1931, in Grandview, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, “Polly” Crofford; one son, Duane Edward Crofford; and his parents, Robert and Geneva DeBose and Vern J. Crofford.

Survivors include one son, Darrell “Bubba”; one daughter, Kathy Jo; eight grandchildren, Cheri’ Kyle, Carie Smith, Crystal Reyes, Carla Beth Crofford, Lindsey Falgout, Blake Crofford, Megan Jennings, and Garrett Jennings; one sister, Patti Gunn; and one brother, Vernon Lee.
