NATCHEZ — Services for Levon Breland, 75, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 27, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Breland was born June 11, 1936, in Waterproof, the son of Earl W. Breland and Ruby Higginbotham Breland. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Breland was a retired painting contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Reba Powell Breland; and two sisters, Doris Doyle and Dianne Williams.

Survivors include one brother, Leon Vondell Breland; two sisters, Martha Whitehead Smith, both of Natchez, and Elaine Breland Middleton and husband, Herman, of Baker, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Whitehead, Waylon Whitehead, Wesley Ruth, Billy Barfield, Eddie Lee and Rusty Etheridge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Breland, Doyle Breland and Eddie Verucchi.
