NATCHEZ — Services for Walter Lawrence “Big Rue” Wiley, 46, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, June 19, 2011, in Indianapolis, will be at noon Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Olive Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Wiley was born Dec. 5, 1964, in Natchez, the son of Philip Wiley Sr. and Willie Mae Browders Wiley Armour. He was a 1984 graduate of North Natchez High School. He was an ordained Baptist minister.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Susie Ann Wiley and Rosie Dale Wiley Allen.

Survivors include 19 siblings, Herman “Billy” Scott and wife, Mary, Raymond Wiley and wife, Wanda, Milton Wiley, and Gerald Wiley and wife, Patsy, all of Natchez, Phillip Wiley Jr. and wife, Evelyn, of Chicago, Willie Ann Wiley Luster and husband, James, Sarah Ann Wiley, Gloria Delphine Wiley Jones and husband, Richard, Rufus Wiley Sr. and wife, Linda, James Leon Davis, James Lee Davis, Pamela Riddle and husband, James, Tamy Wiley, Valerie Davis, Sandra Davis, Gary McGuire, and George “Hank” Wiley and wife, Shiquette, all of Indiana, Troy Wiley and wife, Molly, of Roxie, and Cleo Farmer and wife, Shirley, of St. Louis, Mo.; one uncle, George Sanders of Zachary, La.; three aunts, Doretha Browders of Woodville, Bertha Broadus Williams of Vidalia and evangelist Sandra Browders Walton of Fayette; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
