HARRISONBURG, La. — Services for William K. Mitchell, 48, of Harrisonburg, who died Sunday, July 3, 2011, in Harrisonburg, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cory Bruce officiating.

Burial will follow at Tidwell Landing Cemetery in Nebo, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.

William was born Feb. 19, 1963, in Alexandria, La., the son of Shelby and Norma Lea Mitchell. He was a lifelong resident of Harrisonburg and a member of Harrisonburg First Baptist Church. He was employed by Concordia Electric Co-op for 19 years and was a dispatch supervisor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Arthur Mitchell; and one infant brother.

Survivors include one brother, David Mitchell and wife, Jean E., of Harrisonburg; one sister, Mary Katherine Donnelly and husband, Barry, of South San Francisco; one niece, Cheryl Holloway; four nephews, Chad Newman, Jeremy, Jason and Jarrod Mitchell; and eight grand-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Jarrod Mitchell, Chad Newman, Roger Huffman, Allen Holloway, Clifton McClure and Garry Wright.
