SUGAR LAND, Texas — Services for Ruby Lee Green McFolling, 69, formerly of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 9, 2011, in Stafford, Texas, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Fort Bend Church in Sugar Land, Texas, with the Rev. Byron C. Stevenson officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. McFolling was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Natchez, the daughter of Andrew Green and Angela “Sug” Coleman.

Ruby confessed Christ at an early age and united with Fatherland Baptist Church, currently under the leadership of the Rev. James Lee, where she was a faithful and active member.

Ruby was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and completed three years of nursing school in Detroit. She was united in marriage to the late Johnny McFolling. She was employed by Jefferson Davis Hospital in the food services division for more than 16 years. In 2007, Ruby relocated to Richmond, Texas, to be with her children, where she joined the New Light Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop I.V. Hilliard and pastor Bridget Hilliard. Ruby also considered herself an honorary member of The Fort Bend Church under the leadership of the Rev. Byron C. Stevenson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two devoted sons, Johnny McFolling and wife, Brenda, of Richmond and Andrew McFolling and wife, Tracy, of Missouri City, Texas; three sisters, Eloise Coleman of Richmond, Va., Antet Coleman of New Orleans and Veronica Coleman Miller and husband, Willie, of Natchez; five grandchildren, Melvin Ramon Lopez and wife, Melissa, of Houston, Texas, Markus McFolling of Seaside, Calif., Erika McFolling of Richmond and Kaela and Kai McFolling of Missouri City; one great-grandchild, Mason Lopez of Houston; one aunt, Peggy Mason of Tallulah, La.; special niece, Angela Coleman of New Orleans; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends.
