NATCHEZ — Services for Anita Washington-Thomas, 48, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born March 8, 1963, in Adams County, the daughter of Henry and Marcella Brown. She attended Natchez public schools. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Church of Christ Fourth Street.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mack Washington and one sister, Andrea Bennett.
Survivors include her parents; six children, Cedric Washington Sr. and wife, Diane, of Seattle, Wash., Zachary Washington Sr., Catiffney Washington, Kareynetre Washington, Chasity Washington and Quincey Washington, all of Natchez; seven grandchildren, Cedric Washington Jr., C’Kyra Jefferson, Zachary Washington Jr., Zamiya Washington, Zoey Washington, Tyren Washington and Kayvion Chatman, all of Natchez; five brothers and sisters, Javis Washington and wife, Rosie, of Natchez, Victor Washington of Kansas, Lavonne Sewell and husband, Timothy, of Seattle, Debra Wimberly of Natchez and Doloris Johnson and husband, Aaron.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Wimberly, Van Scott, Victor Washington, Jarvis Washington and Michael Simpson.
