Mr. and Mrs. James W. Lee of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lauren Lee to Shane Louis Pennison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland L. Pennison Jr., of Dry Prong, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Huntington School in Ferriday and is attending Louisiana State University in Alexandria, La., where she is enrolled in the nursing program.

She is the granddaughter of Louise Graves Lee of Ferriday and the late George Fombia Lee. She is also the granddaughter of the late Edgar W. and Muriel M. Jones of Ferriday.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Grant High School and is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He is employed by Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

He is the grandson of the late Laverne Pennison of Ball, La., and the late Roland Louis Pennison Sr., of Morgan City, La. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Bethard of Dry Prong.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Ferriday. A reception will follow at the Vidalia Convention Center.
