NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Margaret Estelle Ross Bryant, 89, of Nathez, who died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Union Church Cemetery at Union Church. A pray service will be at Laird Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday before the graveside service.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bryant was born April 22, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Nevels Maddox Ross and Viva Zelda Davenport. She was a direct descendant of the Isaac Arthur Brown Ross Clan from Ireland and owners of Prospect Hill Plantation in Jefferson County. Mrs. Bryant was a member of Cranfield Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Travis Monroe Bryant; three sons, Bobby Eugene Bryant, Clarence Allen Bryant and Clyde Monroe Bryant.

Survivors include one daughter, LaVerne Bryant McPhate of Vidalia; two sons, Dewey Wayne Bryant and Harvey Eugene Bryant of Natchez; one sister, Francis Ross Lee of Perkinston; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends of the family.
