METAIRIE, La. — Services for Alfred “Big Boy” McCrainey, 80, of Metairie, who died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Second New Guide Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Jackson Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Park in Metairie under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. McCrainey was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel McCrainey and Ruth Haynes McCrainey Bernard; and two brothers, Herbert McCrainey and Willie J. McCrainey.

Survivors include four children, Thomas J. McCrainey, Dianne Smith and husband, John, Delphine Carter and husband, Carlton, and Hazel Moses and husband, Eddie; three brothers, Huey McCrainey and wife, Dorothy, of Natchez, Jake McCrainey and wife, Thelma, of Chicago, and Manuel McCrainey Jr. and wife, Thelma, of New Orleans; three sisters, Georgia Profice and husband, Carl Sr., of Natchez, Ammie Isaac of New Orleans and Leanna Morris of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
