KINGSTON — Services for Robert Earl Brice Sr., 60, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel No. 2 Church with the Rev. Anthony Colenberg officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Brice was born April 8, 1951, in Adams County, the son of Willie D. and Lela Brice.
He was educated in the Natchez Public Schools and graduated from Sadie V. Thompson in 1969. He was employed with Angola State Penitentiary and was a member of Saint James A.M.E. Church. He was a musician and local entertainer and was an outdoor sportsman.
Mr. Brice was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Annie Mae Brice and Evelyn Whiting; and one brother, Charles D. Brice.
Survivors include three children, Shanterreal B. Franks and husband, Chris, Robert E. Brice Jr. and wife, Felicia, Keimon C. Brice and Dawn Pickett, all of Natchez; ex-wife and companion, Ardis W. Brice of Natchez; six grandchildren; three brothers, Horace C. Brice and wife, Jane, of Denver, John J. Brice and wife, Hattie, and George A. Brice and wife, Susan, all of Natchez; three sisters, Thelma J. Terry and husband, Terry, of Kansas City, Willie B. Washington and husband, Joseph, of Natchez, and Lela A. Sheared of Palos Hill, Ill.; brother-in-law, John M. Whiting of Country Club Hills, Ill.; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
