WATERPROOF — Services for Gladys Hawkins, 53, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Willie Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow at Loamland Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hawkins was born Jan. 10, 1958, in Waterproof, the daughter of Lulla Bell Hawkins and Charlie Crossgrove.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include three sons, Derrick Hawkins and wife, Sharon, of Vidalia, Joshua Hawkins and wife, Nicole, of Bossier City, La., and De’Andre Hawkins and wife, Danielle, of Ferriday; one sister, Odell “Precious” Franklin of Houston, Texas; and one grandchild, Keandre Hawkins of Ferriday.
