Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stevens Jr. of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Stevens to James Cody Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Roberts of Monterey.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez.

She is employed by Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge as a respiratory therapist.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stevens Sr. of Natchez and the late Howard and Marjorie McAdams of Metairie, La.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by Mustang Engineering in Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Harrell of Clayton and Mr. James Roberts and the late Mrs. Barbara Roberts.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ferriday. A reception will follow at Vidalia Conference and Convention Center.
