VIDALIA — Leslie Hunt expresses emotion while waving goodbye to the troops of the Vidalia National Guard Unit, Detachment 1 of 1086th Transportation Company Thursday afternoon on Carter Street, as they prepare to deploy to Afghanistan. Supporters lined the sides of Carter Street to bid the troops farewell as they prepare to deploy to Afghanistan. The soldiers’ route took them through Vidalia on Carter Street, on to Ferriday and then through Jonesville as they traveled to Camp Beauregard.
