Mr. Michael F. Ethridge of Decatur and Mrs. Peggy C. Taylor of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Lesley A. Ethridge to Jonathan L. Handjis, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Handjis Jr. of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Meridian Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. She is employed by DCH Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

She is the granddaughter of David and Nancy Ethridge of Decatur and Danny and Joyce Daniels of Meridian and Donald Addy of Decatur.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He is employed by Fitness One as a personal trainer in Northport, Ala.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Handjis Sr.

The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Monmouth Plantation in Natchez. The double ring ceremony will be officiated by the Rev. Jack Clary of Vance, Ala.

After a wedding trip, the couple will live in Vance.
