Brent and JoLynn Gore of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Denise Gore to Eric Newton Hodges, son of LaRay and Jackie Hodges of Baton Rouge.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Huntington School in Ferriday.

She is employed by Stacey Moak and Associates in Baton Rouge.

She is the granddaughter of Gladys Seale, the late W.L. Umberger and the late Mack Seale, all of Natchez, and Nigel “Girl” Gore and the late Travis Gore of Vidalia.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baton Rouge. He is employed by Phelps Dunbar in Baton Rouge.

He is the grandson of the late Newton and Delores Hodges of Ragley, La., and Bessie May and the late James May of Prairieville, La.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at The Kenilworth House in Natchez.

A reception will follow at Comfort Suites Riverfront.
