FERRIDAY — Services for Charlotte Bell, 71, of Lake St. John, who died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Mack Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bell was born Sept. 2, 1940, in Gilbert, La., the daughter of J.L. Emfinger and Venie Walker. She was the former owner of Lake St. John Grocery. She was counted on to always cheer for Hailey and Ashley in everything they did. She and her dog, Chloe, were their number one fans.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her father and one son-in-law, John Mott.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Tom Bell; her mother of Dunbarton, La.; two daughters, Stefanie Bell of Ridgecrest and Tina Mott and her special friend, David Pennington, both of Lake St. John; one brother, Jerry Emfinger of Dunbarton; two granddaughters, Ashley and Hailey Mott; special friend of the family, Cindy Halford of Ridgecrest; and special friend, Tommy Faulkner.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Faulkner, David Pennington, Darrell Lewis, William Hall, Shane Smith and Owen Mize.
