Phillip and Leisa Myers of Lake Charles, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Michelle Myers to Alex Martin Felter, son of Ellis and Sherri Felter of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of A.M. Barbe High School in Lake Charles and is attending Louisiana College in Pineville, La., pursuing a degree in elementary education.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Myra Myers and the late Mr. James Myers of Lake Charles and Mrs. Clarice Baudoin and the late Mr. George Baudoin of Lake Arthur, La.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and is also attending Louisiana College in Pineville. Alex will graduate in December with degrees in studio art and graphic design. He is employed by Louisiana College in the graphic services department.

He is the grandson of Lamar and Henrietta Felter and Jesse A. Martin and the late Ann Martin, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Sale Street Baptist Church in Lake Charles.

A reception will follow at Prien Lake Park, Harbor’s Edge Indoor Pavillion.
