NATCHEZ — Services for Monroe Woods, 74, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Allworth officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Woods was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Adams County, the son of George Woods Sr. and Annie Rice Woods. He was an accountant in San Francisco.

Mr. Woods was a Baptist and a member of Milford Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include five sisters, Irene Baldwin, Eugenia Lewis, Rosie Lee Woods, all of Natchez, Edna Harper of Kenner, La., and Florida Anthony and husband, Randolph, of Laplace, La.; one brother, Roosevelt Woods and wife, Freddie Mae, of Natchez; one brother-in-law, Wilson Batiste of Kenner; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
