MEADVILLE — Services for Sidney Linford Kerben, 74, of Kosciusko, who died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with the Rev. Bobby Davis officiating.

Burial will be at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Mr. Kerben was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Franklin County, the son of George Kerben and Bessie Thornton Higginbotham. He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company.

Mr. Kerben was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church and had served in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

He was preceded in death by his father; his mother and stepfather, Alfred Higginbotham; and one brother-in-law, Wesley Rasberry.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Rasberry Kerben; one son, Sidney “Bubba” Kerben Jr. and wife, Jackie, of Meadville; one daughter, Cynthia K. Wheat and husband, Greg, of Smithdale; two stepsons, Anthony M. “Tony” Rasberry of Meadville and Eric Gage and wife, Shanna, of Brookhaven; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Rasberry Dykman and husband, Stan, of Brandon; mother-in-law, Dorothy J. Williams of Kosciusko; a number of loving nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, James Rasberry and wife, Donna, of Kosciusko.

Pallbearers will be James Rasberry, Eric Gage, Tony Rasberry, Drew Worthy, Graig Dykman and Jerry L. Smith.

Honorary pallbearer will be Stan Dykman.
