NATCHEZ — Services for Henry A. Bacon Jr., 40, of Natchez, who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. John Fallon officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Mr. Bacon was born Dec. 9, 1970, in Natchez, the son of Henry A. Bacon Sr. and Connie Wilson Bacon. He attended Holy Family Elementary School and was a 1988 graduate of Cathedral High School. He was also a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of Phoenix where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Mr. Bacon served in the U.S. Navy from July 1988 to July 1992 and in the U.S. Army from June 2004 to November 2007.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Sr. and Geneva Buckles Bacon and Charles Wilson.

Survivors include his mother; his father; one brother, Charles Johnson and wife, Ciera; maternal grandmother, Elsie Evans; two nephews, Cobie Johnson and Cayden Johnson, all of Natchez; four aunts, Ernestine Pickett of Cleveland, Ohio, Ruby Mae Green of Natchez, Joyceria Schoby and husband, Barney Sr., of Jackson and Barbara Epps and husband, Willie, of St. Louis, Mo.; four uncles, Gregory Cosey and wife, Debra, and Paul Bacon and wife, Lee Edna, all of Natchez, David Bacon Jr. and wife, Amelia, of Mobile, Ala., and Murray Bacon and wife, Pearl, of Pascagoula; great-uncles, great-aunts, a number of other relatives and friends.
