VIDALIA — Memorial services for Larry Edwin Woody, 64, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Woody was born May 15, 1947, in Palestine, Texas, the son of Merrill Woody and Carlean Woody. He was retired from BASF and was a member of the Blackfoot Baptist Church in Blackfoot, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.

Mr. Woody was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Betty Woody; one son, Robert Woody and wife, Debra, of Elkhart, Texas; two daughters, Pamela Woody and Kelsey Woody, both of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Jack Woody and wife, Lilli, of Normangee, Texas and David Woody of Florida; one sister, Sylvia Fraim and husband, Roy Lee, of Palestine; two grandsons, Garrick Woody and Dylan Fuller; and two granddaughters, Cassie Woody and Maddison Woody.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Vidalia Building Fund or the Wounded Warriors Project.
