NATCHEZ — Memorial services for John W. Christian Jr., 63, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Noelle Read officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Johnny was born Dec. 27, 1947, in Natchez, the son of John William Christian Sr. and Venus Jean Doss Christian. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was the chief executive officer of United Mississippi Bank.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Edie Christian; one daughter, Katherine Christian; one son, Scott Christian and wife, Robin; two grandchildren, Will Christian and Madeleine Christian; his mother; one sister, Donna Powers and husband, Lee, all of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Biglane, Phil Hale, Billy Gillon, Billy Ulmer, Joe Stedman, Marc Archer, Kenny Brown, Bruce Kuehnle, Steve Newman and Ronnie Bryant.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez Children’s Home or First Presbyterian Church.
