FAYETTE — Services for Theodore Roosevelt Shelvy, 64, of Fayette, who died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Poplar Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. C.E. Cotton officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Shelvy was born June 23, 1947, in Mississippi, the son of Roosevelt Shelvy and Mary Williams. He was a retired carpenter and attended Christ Temple.

Survivors include a number of relatives and friends.
