Don and Myrtis Gordon of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Dorothy Reneé Jackson to Deselle “Mody” Davis, son of Claudia Davis of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University School of Nursing. She is employed by Alcorn State University in Lorman.

She is the granddaughter of Carrie B. Myles of Natchez and James McCullough of Dallas.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Natchez High School and is attending Bethel University in McKenize, Tenn. He is employed by Adams County Justice Court.

He is the grandson of the late Alneter Butler.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Convention Center.
